Adopt-A-Planter at the Edwardsville Cemetery

The Cemetery, Parks, and Public Spaces (CPPS) Board has launched an Adopt-a-Planter Program at the City Cemetery. There have been a number of improvement projects at the Cemetery as of late, including the recent mill and overlay of the circle drive and the reconstruction of the west retaining wall/planter. Now we'd like you to be a part of keeping our Cemetery in good condition! Click HERE to view the application to adopt a planter at the Cemetery and put your own personal touch on the vegetation at the site. The objective of this program is to continue the commitment to beautify the planters and flower beds located at the Edwardsville Cemetery (1501 S. 104th St.). The flower beds and planters are meant for the enjoyment and benefit of all Cemetery visitors. These areas need regular care to clean up weeds and debris and plant and water flowers. Those adopting a planter or bed agree to maintain the area throughout the spring/summer growing season and keep the area free from debris and trash throughout the year. Fees are detailed in the application and are primarily to cover the cost of signage, which will recognize the planter adopter for their hard work. For additional questions, contact Assistant City Manager Zack Daniel at 913-356-6002.
